American Jeremiah Wood (201-C/F-1985) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Olimpia Kings, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 40-year old player had a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Bauru (#4, 0-3), the league's bottom-ranked team 75-62. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It was one of impressive evenings for Wood as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Jeremiah Wood has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 4.0rpg).

The second best player in last round's games was young Uruguayan Daniel Moreira (206-C-2003) of Zopone/ Gali/ Unimed/Bauru Basket. Moreira had a very good evening with a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Paschoalotto/Bauru lost that game 62-75 to Olimpia K. (2-1). Moreira is a newcomer at Bauru and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third on the list of top players last round was Italian forward Leonardo Mainoldi (205-PF-1985) of league's top team Jorge Guzman CD. Mainoldi scored 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was a key player of J.Guzman, leading his team to a 81-63 easy win against #3 ranked Obera in a game of the week. J.Guzman started extremely well this year. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game. Mainoldi turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. The season just started for Mainoldi as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
